The technical trailblazer that is Eng. Tisungane Kapalamula stands out as a strategic leader and seasoned engineer with a deep commitment to excellence in water utility service delivery. With over 14 years of experience in the engineering field, Eng. Kapalamula brings to the Southern Region Water Board (SRWB) a blend of technical expertise, visionary thinking, and operational efficiency.

Since joining SRWB in 2009, Eng. Kapalamula has demonstrated unwavering dedication and exceptional leadership, steadily rising through the ranks to assume the role of Director of Operations in July 2020. In this position, he leads the planning, coordination, and execution of the Board’s operational activities, ensuring that service delivery meets the highest standards of efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Throughout his career, Eng. Kapalamula has earned a reputation for his strategic mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to lead teams through complex challenges. His professional strengths also include effective relationship management, clear communication, and a sharp business acumen—all critical in navigating the evolving demands of the water sector.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Water Resource Modeling and Governance from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Malawi, The Polytechnic.

Eng. Kapalamula remains focused on implementing innovative and result-oriented strategies that align with SRWB’s mission to deliver sustainable and high-quality water services to communities across the Southern Region. His leadership continues to be a driving force in the Board’s quest for operational excellence and long-term impact.
